I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glovo (Barcelona) in Oct 2021
Interview
I got through recruiter interview.
I didn't get through the live coding session, got generic feedback as my experience, skill set doesn't match. They didn't provided any concrete reason. Overall a negative experience since I was interviewed by two new joined people. One was 4 months Asian person and other one was Spanish person at 10 Months, they both had their own conflicts during the interview, Spanish person didn't like to answer to some questions I raised it, was passed Asian, and former didn't like what he answered. It s like Asian person was more willing to guide. Overall I completed all 3 questions with optimal solutions. I was asked to stop when I am writing test cases to last question.
After the interview I raised some questions around the team i might potentially work if selected, asked what they are doing in terms of tech. Spanish person passed this questions to Asian person just joined the company 4 months ago, obviously he doesn't have clear idea on this or the process. After that Spanish person asked me to raise these questions to HR. After that they mentioned they will be get in touch with next steps.
Even though I noticed these conflicts, I was still confident or hopeful since i completed all three with optimal solutions. However I was rejected with generic message without any feedback. Well with all these what I felt Glovo is not into Diversity / Inclusions as they claim. I wouldn't recommend this process to anyone.

Question 1
Usual leetcode questions
First non repeated / repeated character.
Match open closed brackets.
ZigZag array.
Had a call with the HR manager, he introduced the company and its plans, asked about my motivation and experience. The conversation was friendly and polite. I received clear answers to all my questions. However, I didn’t feel any particular interest in me as a candidate. One of the questions seemed a bit suspicious, what would I do if a production issue occurred on a Friday evening.
The response from the company came the next day, automatically, from a no-reply address. That made it impossible to ask for immediate feedback or any follow-up questions.
To me, receiving an automatic response from a no-reply sender is somewhat telling about the internal culture.

Interview
Leetcode-style question with a clever twist, incorporating unique constraints and edge cases. The solution includes thorough unit test coverage and insightful discussions on multi-threading, concurrency control, synchronization techniques, potential race conditions, and performance trade-offs in real-world, production-grade scenarios.

Interview
I had a two-step interview. The first was a casual chat about my background and what I’m looking for. The second was a live coding session with a medium problem, followed by questions on time and space complexity and how a HashMap works under the hood
