The first step was a video conference with a person from HR. She was polite and her questions were pretty much following the CV and checking the overall fit. She mentioned there'd be a series of 6 to 8 interviews with different people to assess me from different points of view. OK. The second and last interview was with someone from Engineering who asked all sorts of technical questions that are completely unrelated to a product manager's work. One thing is to know how software is created and another to get onto the finer details of Swift. I have worked for 10 years in tech companies (some of them way bigger than Glovo), I have met lots of PMs of different backgrounds, and these questions were the first time I ever heard them. Completely silly. The icing of the cake was when I received an email saying I had been rejected because I didn't gave the impact of my actions, which makes no sense at all when the questions are purely technical. I didn't get a single question about what was in the job description and I never got the chance to explain myself.
