GitLab Senior Software Engineer In Test interview questions

I applied since the job spec mentions two languages Golang or Ruby, And I only have experience in Golang. But I was asked to do a test in Ruby since no Golang based tasks are there. I waned to try and I have finished the task by learning whatever I could about Ruby Rspec. Final outcome was rejection with reason I was not at the senior level. It is NOT FAIR, either give task based on CV or don't expect for senior level when candidate finishes the task with quick learning of new language and framework.
