      Consultant Interview

      Jan 22, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gate One (London, England)

      Interview

This company is a joke! 1. Informal chat x2 with a very incompetent HR person (total wasted time = 1 hour) 2. First round interview with a senior member of staff - the sales pitch normally lasts between 1 – 2 hours (very unstructured and disorganised) 3. Final round (total wasted time = 3 hours): a. Prepare a presentation about yourself b. Case study (poorly written with lots of errors and contradictions) c. Prepare a piece of work (know your company policy of sharing work and remove all client names and logos) e. Competency-based interview (standard) They pay way below market rate Diversity in this company is non-existing and they only recruit from the Big 4. They speak very negatively about other companies (mostly about Big 4) and they will tell you that they position themselves as the best in the market (extremely arrogant and narrow-minded). IF you come from the Big 4 and have understood the value of taking care of your people as much as your clients, DO NOT join this company. You are going to be very disappointed. IF you come from industry or another consultancy they are going to drag you through a very lengthy recruitment process, literally wasting your time to then tell you that you are not from the Big 4. I got in total 3 offers and I ended up accepting another offer.
