One good aspect of Gallup's process is that they're fast. Soon after I applied (within days), I was asked to take a long, online psychometric survey. As far as I know, this Gallup's proprietary survey so they presumably take it seriously. The validity of such an exam is dubious, however, given that many candidates for this role in particular (surgery coordinator) should be familiar with similar tests and/or understand how to game them. I apparently answered the questions to their liking, so I was asked to schedule a 30-minute Zoom screener. Unfortunately, it seems like they use AI to pre-screen resumes, but not in a productive way. The interviewer (someone from Gallup's talent acquisition team) appeared to have viewed my resume for only the first time during the call, and they quickly signaled (before any substantive questions were asked) that I was not the right fit. I should not have been invited to be interviewed if this was so immediately apparent.
