      Executive Assistant Interview

      Jan 28, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Gainsight (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2019

      Interview

Quickly scheduled from phone to on-site. Followed you many times in updates and status, and would hear back from recruiter and was told will hear back on a specific date/week but still haven’t heard and it’s almost been a month since that last email. I understand everyone is busy however candidates are as important too and would like to get updates, feedback or at least a decision sooner rather than later. This company was on my top list of companies because of the reviews but after this situation, makes me think... so much for them saying “human first”, which doesn’t seem to be the case. My rating here on Glassdoor is primarily because up to today, my status is in limbo or just hanging. While really rather get a rejection email than go cold.

      Executive Assistant Interview

      Jan 13, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Gainsight (New York, NY) in Oct 2016

      Interview

After applying online I was contacted by a recruiter and an interview was set up via the phone to discuss the position. After the interview was completed I was advised that I would hear back within 1-2 weeks and if not I should follow up. Well follow up I did...7 times over the course of 2.5 months until I finally gave up and stopped wasting my time. If you are recruiting for a position its common courtesy as the recruiter to set expectations with candidates as to when they can expect to move on in the process. Constantly following up only to be told that she would follow up with me within a week then not doing so THEN having to track her down again is so unprofessional. I can only imagine what great talent this company misses out on thanks to the poor recruiter in charge.
