Everyone I spoke with misled me, telling me what I wanted to hear. Within a couple of months on the job, it was clear that the company and role had been misrepresented. Manager was very pushy about moving fast through process; this should've been a huge red flag. I came to understand how desperate the company was to fill open roles.
