      CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER Interview

      Sep 8, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

      I interviewed at Forrester

      Interview

I applied online a month ago and have yet to hear anything from the company aside from the automatic system-generated response that acknowledged my submission. The online interface is rigid, feels like an affidavit and, in my opinion, not appropriate for executive-level roles where nuance, expertise and individuality are critical.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Online application asks for the usual information... along with employment details for at least 10 years, reasons for leaving past jobs, names/titles of your past managers, starting rates of pay at past jobs, names/contact info for three references (although the instructions say only two are required, the system will not let you finish until you add a third).

Thanks for your feedback on our applicant tracking system. Yes, the system lacks the warmth and interface that we would hope candidates would experience when applying to Forrester. While the need for the interface is compliance-driven, it is not meant to substitute communication between Forrester and interested executive-level talent. I would be happy to get back to you personally. With the volume of applicants received on any given opening, we are not always able to follow up on a one to one basis with every candidate. Please do email me direct at aeldred@forrester.com or feel free to message me via LinkedIn. I apologize for the impersonal feel of our applicant tracking system and kindly welcome you to contact me personally. Best, April Eldred (VP, Talent Acquisition)
