Round 1: 15 minute phone screen with recruiter. Basic questions: Why Fisher? What do you know about us? Tell me about yourself. Then the recruiter reviewed what positions they have under their "Investment Associate" title. There were around 5 different positions. Round 2: 30ish minute video interview with the same recruiter as round 1. More detailed questions, behavioral/situational questions. "Tell me about a time when..." The recruiter also reviewed the different positions under Investment Associate. Round 3: I was invited to fly out to Camas, WA for an onsite interview "super day." Fisher booked flights, hotel, provided a per diem allowance for food, and gave us access to their company Uber. Very generous experience. There were a total of 3 interviews, each with a manager for a specific group/sector of the firm (this depends on what you expressed interest in to the recruiter). All behavioral-based questions, nothing unexpected. There was also a presentation on their benefits package and a happy hour in the afternoon. I heard back three weeks later that they would not be pursuing my candidacy. At that point, I had already accepted an offer elsewhere. Note: Read through the Glassdoor reviews under interview. Notice how many people have been flown out to their HQ to interview and don't actually end up with offers? It seems like they may use their extravagant interview process as a way to spread word about their company to the millennial generation. Another odd thing is how they really do try to sell you on their company and the Portland area. Usually the interviewees are the ones that need to sell themselves, not the other way around. Overall, it was a nice experience and I am glad to have interviewed with Fisher. Advice? Know their company, read Glassdoor, and take advantage of seeing Portland while you're out there.
