Interview
The interview process consists of multiple rounds. Usually you have an half an hour phone interview with an HR person first. Afterwards you meet senior and junior staff and discuss petty much everything with them. Staring from who you are to what your opinion on certain communication strategies are.

Question 1
Who communicated successfully last year. What would you do in XXX position communicationwise
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Finsbury Glover Hering (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
I applied through LinkedIn and was contacted for a screening interview (on Zoom) with the head of HR who immediately made me want to work there. She was very friendly, personable, and clearly explained the interview process and the internal structure of FGH.
A few days later I met with a mid-level employee (also on Zoom) for a second interview and was pretty disappointed with the experience. The woman admitted that she hadn't looked at my resume, asked me basic questions like why I wanted to work in strategic comms, and responded to every answer I gave with just "okay," no follow up questions or anything. I felt like she really didn't want to be there and didn't have any interest in getting to know me.
A few days later I interviewed with one of their competitors and my interviewer said (unprompted!) that she had previously worked at Finsbury and really didn't like the people there. Safe to say I was relieved when I got a rejection email from FGH.

Question 1
Why are you interested in strategic comms? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
5 interviews, a writing test, and 8+ emails exchanged with HR in an attempt to get on the phone and learn the compensation range. They are too lazy or inept to do the bare minimum of a phone screen.
After missing two scheduled calls, an HR employee finally picked up on basic decency and found 5 minutes to share the compensation range with me. Unfortunately, I had already been through 5 interviews over 3 weeks at that point. Got rejected via a 3 sentence email from a receptionist (!) two days later.
There are pyramid schemes with better HR than this place. I wouldn't recommend applying here other than as a joke or a last resort.

Interview
The process was a series of "get to know the team" interviews to see if you would fit in the corporate and team culture. Overall, I met with 6 team members and each seemed interested and relaxed in conversation. However, following 2 30-minute final interviews, I was ghosted. I reached out to the hiring manager twice without a response. Highly unprofessional to not notify applicants, especially after putting in the time and effort to go through three rounds of interviews.
