      LEAP Program Interview

      Oct 20, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments in Oct 2017

      Interview

I applied online, then after a week received an email to do a digital interview. Which consisted of you recording yourself answering six question, you had two chances to record your answers. The next day I got two emails. One asking if I was free to do a phone interview. The other wanted to know if I was available to do two 45 minute video interviews, one technical and one behavioral. During the technical one, I wasn't really asked any technical questions and didn't realize it was the technical interview until I started the second interview. All of the people I talked to at Fidelity seemed nice, and I thought that the interviews had gone well. After a week of waiting, I got an email saying that I didn't get the job.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments in Sep 2024

      Interview

I applied 9/20/2024. The process took about 3 weeks. First is the phone screening - standard behavioral questions, know the 4 principles of OOP, have knowledge of the SDLC, SQL, Java. It is important to be enthusiastic and demonstrate that you have done your research into the company and want to join. I was able to schedule the final interview at the end of this phone screening but that is not always the case I have heard. The final interview is the technical. I have researched and found that this part can differ widely depending on who is interviewing you. In some cases, it barely included any technical stuff and was more behavorial where others it was entirely technical. In my case it was entirely technical. It started with being displayed an HTML file and being asked to describe it, then asked to make various changes to the code to reflect what the interviewer asked. Then proceeded to SQL where I was asked to explain basic queries and then to create a few simple ones, the last example included using INNER JOIN. The last step was Java where I was asked to create a function and then explain its time complexity. Overall a positive experience and the interviewers were helpful and did their best to help you succeed.

      Raleigh, NC

      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Raleigh, NC) in Nov 2023

      Interview

I applied online and then attended the school career fair. I was able to schedule a phone screening, and after that, the interview process included an onsite interview. However, it appears that there is high demand for the program, so it's better to secure a phone screening as early as possible to increase your chances of getting an onsite interview scheduled. Otherwise, you may be advised to pursue a different track, and you might not meet all the requirements for the track you are offered, potentially leading to a failed interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Share a specific instance when you encountered a technical difficulty, and how did you go about resolving the problem?
