I applied through other source. I interviewed at FactSet
Interview
Contrary to what most people have been saying about FactSet's interview process, it is slow and tiresome and they tag the candidate along for a long time before providing any feedback, even after the onsite interviews!
The interview questions were technical, most of them were easy, its just that the software engineers (interviewers) are so not up to the mark! One interviewer asked me to write a SQL query, and any programmer would know and agree with me that there is more than just one way of writing an inner join--either using the 'join' keyword or do a cross join and add a suitable predicate condition! However the interviewer's knowledge of SQL is so limited that he claimed his answer (with the keyword) was the only correct one! There were other such instances! And FactSet is going to base their decision on my candidacy based on this interviewer's impression of my query-writing skills?! Si perfecto!

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FactSet (Hyderābād) in Dec 2025
Interview
It was a very casual interview. I was told the interview would start at 8:45 AM but it started around 10 AM. The interviewer was very friendly and walked me through my thought process towards solving the given problem. There were two rounds of interviews, purely technical though I did not get shortlisted for the second round.
