I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Facing History and Ourselves (Boston, MA) in Apr 2025
Interview
The process was thorough and multi-staged. It began with a screening, followed by a panel interview with multiple stakeholders across digital, design, CRM, and project management. I was then invited to a 90-minute technical screen with scenario-based questions. The process itself was structured and the conversations were thoughtful. However, after investing significant time and effort — including preparing technical documentation and follow-ups — I received no formal closure or response, even after polite outreach. That lack of communication ultimately left a disappointing impression.

Question 1
One scenario involved designing a gated Google Drive content block in Drupal that behaves differently for authenticated vs. anonymous users. They were interested in how to conditionally render a component using Paragraphs, manage post-login redirects, and handle UX considerations — while ensuring scalability and editorial control.

Interview
There were three rounds of interviews: one with HR, one with the hiring manager, and one panel interview. The HR representative was extremely responsive. The whole process took around two months.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Facing History and Ourselves in Dec 2021
Interview
I interviewed with about six different people on four different days. Everyone was very friendly until I got to the final interviewer. I had been warned that she was challenging, but when we spoke, she seemed completely checked out. She was answering Slack messages during our conversation and seemed very disinterested. It was clear that her mind had already been made up prior to or as soon as she met me. It was a very disrespectful experience.
