Exponent conducts a series of phone interviews before vetting a potential employee for an in-person interview. I had 3 phone interviews and two in-person interviews before receiving an offer. 1. phone interview with HR person to ask questions about my background 2. phone interview with an individual who works in the same field. This interview was very informal and gave me a picture of the duties of someone in a similar position. 3. phone interview with someone I would report to. 4. in-person interview with someone I would report to. 5. panel interview in which I presented my previous work to a group of experts.
