I interviewed at Excelsior Orthopaedics (Amherst, NY)
Interview
Many weird questions, multi panel interviews. Vague questions that are difficult to answer. Not many questions regarding skills or the job itself. Offer was decent, but not exceptional. Follow up communication is good. HR was responsive to questions in a timely manner.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when your integrity could have been compromised.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Excelsior Orthopaedics in Jul 2025
Interview
Interview was informal and the people I interviewed with seemed kind, however, my interview was interrupted by staff needing to speak with the managers. The people interviewing me apologized for the interruption, but it wasn’t a great experience when you are trying to advocate for yourself. I was thrown off for the rest of the interview as a result.
The people interviewing also kept things very short. I don’t feel like I had an adequate amount of time to ask questions (in fairness, this was partially the result of the interruption.)

Question 1
“What’s one of your experiences handling a difficult patient situation?” (Something along those lines.)

Interview
I was first contacted for a screening call by Human Resources. Then, I was interviewed by the scribe supervisor and leadership team. They each had a chance to ask questions. Interview topics were predictable. They expect you to have questions for them as well.

Question 1
Can you describe what a scribe does? Why would you be a good fit for this role? What is your greatest accomplishment? What is your 5 year plan?
