The initial call with the HR recruiter served as a quick recap, as we had previously discussed another position. Following this, I had a scheduled phone interview with the hiring manager, which appeared to progress smoothly from my perspective. During the interview, the sales manager inquired about my availability for a demo, to which I provided a timeframe of 10am to 2pm. However, he subsequently emailed me suggesting an earlier time of 8:30am, to which I politely explained my prior commitments during that timeframe.
After not hearing back for a couple of days, despite two follow-up emails on my end, I reached out to the HR recruiter. Regrettably, she informed me that they were moving forward with other candidates.
I found this lack of communication and follow-up to be unprofessional and disconcerting. It's disappointing to experience such behavior during the interview process. However, in hindsight, I am relieved that I did not secure a position with this company if this is indicative of their overall approach.
