Evolution Time Critical interview questions

A recruiter contacted me saying I was perfect for the role and described the working hours, salary, and about the company. I was invited to an interview online the following day. The interview process included a video conference call with a director of the company. In the conference call, it was very amicable and I thought I did well. A short time after, the recruiter then called me saying I had done really well etc, then he asked me to go into the office to "have a look around" and that I didn't need to prepare anything. Upon entering the office, I was given a second interview where my CV was scrutinised so much harder than over the conference call. I was told I'd hear back and never did. Would've loved to work there, seemed great, but wasn't really a graduate role as made out to be.
