I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (Rochester, NY) in May 2022
Interview
Applied and received and email to do an assessment before being scheduled for an interview. The assessment was basic math and reading comprehension, with a typing test at the end. I received and invitation to schedule and interview about 3 days later. The intial interview is very odd. The persomn you talk to is not allowed to answer any questions you have and only turned their camera on for about 10 seconds. They asked me simple questions and it took about 15 min. No further contact in about a month since the interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (Detroit, MI) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process is definitely a little scammy; the recruiters turn their cameras off, and it seems they are reading from a script. This company gives very culty vibes, they don't want their employees to have conversations with each other, pay is low, and they want you to come in out of hours when needed.

Question 1
They asked me to compare my traits to my best friend.
Went through long process of assessments and interviews and it’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything back. Seems like this is a trend for them… Felt impersonal with turning off camera and reading off script.

Interview
Very short. Asked a few questions that were pretty easy, like "do you think it is more important to be detail-oriented or to be good at problem solving?". The interviewer had their camera off.
