I ended up having very sharp and positive interview experience with recruiter, but when it came to technical phone screen with one of the engineering managers it became a disaster. The turnaround speed to get a tech phone screen was slow and it took more than a week to get it scheduled. As for tech interview: First of all, interviewer was 11 minutes late. 2nd of all I had a problem understanding the interviewer. It seems like interviewer was in rush and didn't want to deliver the information the proper way. 3rd and most important, even though I cracked all the technical tasks they gave me, I still got a "no" from them in few days without a specific reason "why". They asked questions by the book and seemd like they didn't understand what they need and want. I never got a question about positive side of candidate's past experience and history. I hope this particular interview case and experience I have got doesn't represent Etsy culture.
