Screened as normal and invited shortly after to come in for the first round of interviews. The person who screened gave me a more accurate job description than what was online. With this new information, I mentioned my strengths and them not necessarily being in line with the position's responsibilities. That did not matter at the time. I had the first round of interview with the Hiring Manager and left fairly confident with a better understanding of the position's roles and responsibilities. The hiring manager told me what the next steps would be in the form of a panel interview with him and his supervisor the following week. A few days later, I was told my experience was not in line with what they wanted for the position and that they were pursuing other candidates.
