There was a Trial Lesson for 30 mins that you have prepared on a subject of your choice (online lesson) followed by a short interview with Client manager or higher management.

I'm not sure how it would be for other people, as I tutor a very niche subject (US college admissions + LNAT). I was asked to come in and show the interviewer how I would teach a sample question/solution. I showed the interviewer how I would teach a student to answer an ACT Science question. I think there were some general questions about myself and my experience, and you had to do a DBS check. Heard back from them within a week and was taken on as a tutor, was a pretty simple process. If you're qualified and articulate you shouldn't have an issue, they weren't trying to trick you in interview as I recall (this was three years ago though, so perhaps things may have changed).
