I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Encoda (Virginia Beach, VA) in Oct 2023
Interview
The first part of the interview process is a mini SAT test and then a personality test. I literally couldn’t believe it. I haven’t had to take a personality test since I was applying for retail jobs in high school. The only reason I even did it was because I couldn’t believe that was part of the process. To start - personality tests and “logic” tests have been proven to be ineffective at best at predicting performance or intelligence. Beyond what science says about how useless these are, it’s incredibly ableist to include these tests. Just interview people and do a background check, okay?

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Encoda (Circle Pines, MN) in Jan 2022
Interview
The Vice President reached out to me via LinkedIn and explained he came across my resume, requesting an interview. I looked into the company and was extremely intrigued. The company is smaller and in the interview process I felt like I could be myself while still being professional. I was looking to be apart of a company where my presence matters and I got the feeling that this is a tight knit crew.
