Interviewed over the phone with the regional director then I interviewed in person with the outgoing nurse manager and the staff. Then had six different interviews with physicians. Was told by every person that I was the front runner for the position. They never reached out to my previous employer or any of my references. Once I spoke to the lead physician, she asked me how old my children were and when I told her she stated “those are very hands on ages”. And then a few days later I was told I didn’t get the position because the lead physician didn’t like me.
