I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2012
Interview
Grueling, 3 different people in 3 different rooms one after the other. Very kind people, but very demanding. Not typical of any one day in the Pharma Industry, but want to know if you can cut it. Hospitalist position was offered to me in another city. I had to turn it down after my personal situation changed for me. A great company! And everyone I met there was helpful and professional as well as being considerate of how difficult this is to get to this position in the interview process. You are practically there if you see 3 people in one day.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2025
Interview
This was one of the hardest interview processes I have ever gone through. There are many rounds to the interview, and they use the “STAR” process (you can look this up). If you are interviewing for this company, it’s imperative to study this process so you know how to answer questions correctly. I made it through to the final round of interviews (it was between myself and one other person). In the end, they went with someone more familiar with the territory.

They fly you out and cover your travel expenses and stay through reimbursement. There’s generally two managers playing good cop bad cop. Overall a good interview process and very standard scenarios questions.
