Was contacted to interview with Edenred UAE for a commercial director role - it consisted of several rounds. It included meeting with an executive team that consisted of several senior professionals, including C-Suite. In the process you have to meet 7 individuals, and then the team meets to decide on your candidacy. The first few rounds were good and fair - I then encountered in my final interview a C-Suite person, who intended to do an adverserial interview, which is no issue, as pressure interviews are fair game. However, this person decided to act with disrespect and add unnecessary dismissing comments to my experience to thread a line of disrespect. I had already invested in several rounds, and wanted to exit the interview, but the rounds before had been pleasant, so i went through the motions. The interview was obviously going nowhere as this person was intended on cutting me out. To top that off. Another point i wanted to make was that at the beginning of the interview process itself, the team mentioned i can reach out with questions or observations to prepare for it. In action, all questions went unanswered. I think the company forgot that respect in an interview process is important, regardless of fit, and that the Middle Eastern market is small. If you want to run a long recruitment process, make sure your interviewers actually want to interview the candidate, and show respect to people in the way they address them throughout. Very disappointed with the process - I was not going to accept an offer even if it had come after that final round.
