      Sr. Python Engineer Interview

      Jun 15, 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Houston, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EOG (Houston, TX) in May 2024

      Interview

First two rounds were with the contracting company (they rarely do direct hires when you first join). One Zoom call with another of their engineers about some simple Python questions. Second one was an online assessment like Hacker Rank--it was simple but it had 2-3 tricky questions. Third one was a Zoom call with one of the Managers to see if there was a cultural fit. Fourth one was an on-site interview with three different managers. This stage was hard given the total time elapsed and that they went as deep as possible to know about my previous technical experiences and knowledge--but overall very nice people.

      Question 1

When you were in a leadership position, what did you do to have team cohesion?
