Hello there - we sincerely apologize for the last-minute cancellations. We are a very small company and if our interviewer has a pressing client action, then we try to get a substitute and are not always successful - regardless our bad on that.
Our automated reply system on not moving forward should have generated a rejection email. If a system fault or landing in spam email perhaps but ghosting is never our intention.
I appreciate you putting a positive spin in your last paragraph to help us improve - thanks for that - we will do better.
