I applied online, heard back from a recruiter early the following day, to set up a screen for later that week. The screen itself was atypical and was done over zoom, it lasted about 18 minutes. I thought it went well, with the recruiter even telling me details about the next interviews, but I guess the sentiment was not shared since I got a rejection email 12 minutes after the screen. I mean seriously? Not only is that extremely disrespectful, sending a rejection email that quickly after a screen with a recruiter implies that I was really never under consideration and my screen was likely just to fill a quota.
