      Sr. Software Engineer Interview

      Oct 25, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Oakland, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dictionary.com (Oakland, CA) in Oct 2017

      Interview

30 mins call with recruiter. 45 mins call with their CTO. If everything goes well, 3 hours onsite. The folks were really nice. Offered a phone call regardless of the interview result. Never heard back from them. Total waste of time. Save yourself by not indulging in any communication. Two weeks after my rejection, another recruiter from the same company reached out and asked if I am interested. Do they even know what they are doing? They should talk to each other and figure their stuff out before wasting outsiders time.

      Question 1

Mostly design related questions. Questions on past projects and Tell me about a situation. Nothing new.
