      Flight Attendant Interview

      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2015

      Interview

The process moved very quickly. First, I got notification about doing a video interview. I would recommend dress very professional and answer all questions in STAR format. If you're unaware of STAR format please study them. After completing the video interview. I heard back within two weeks. After hearing back i was selected to do a phone screening. Then i was moved on to the face to face interview in Atlanta, GA. Wow! What an experience i must say. Please dress professional and look very sharp. I wore a black suit, white shirt, black and white nice tie, black dress shoes. I made sure my face was clean and neatly trimmed down. When i got to the location i was a bit intimidated because everyone looked so nice and dressed so cute. I was very confident and wanted to stand out. The process was very different and very long. So, please be prepared to stay at least 4-5 hours. My interview was at 7:30 am. But, I didn't leave until 1:45 pm. They have snacks and beverages for you. But i was so hungry and wanted food. So please eat breakfast and get a good night rest. My anxiety had me up till 1 am. Iol It had to be about 50-60 of us there. We were split into groups of three. The process was very different but they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Lots of HR and Flight attendants were there. So, please shine! But i personally wouldn't recommend coming out of your character to try and shine. I read so many blogs and watched videos that had me nervous. You don't have to be nervous! My best advice would be "BE YOURSELF" don't try and be someone you are not. Smile and be approachable. Socialize and be confident. I was very humbled and happy to have been selected that day. I didn't want to write word for word how your day would go. Because i feel that would make you nervous, as it had me. You don't have a reason to be nervous. Just be confident in yourself and you will do well. I am pretty sure some didn't get selected is because they either was to intimidated or tried to over shine. But...............Shine by being the best "YOU" I hope this helps!

      Interview

Easy but very private. You have to show you’re able to follow instruction but also navigate working as a team. It was more nerve wracking to meet everyone. Just be yourself and delta will see that you shine: that’s what matters.

      Interview

It goes really fast. They are super organized and efficient, you finish one thing and someone is there ready to take you to the next phase. You don't get a lot of time to really sell yourself unless you get a one on one, and even then if you vibe with your recruiter can have a lot to do with outcome. They are, however, watching you at all times. In the group activity don't take over the group. 2 people in my group really tried to show how much of a leader they were and were both trying to one-up each other as well as ignoring/disregarding anything myself and the other applicant had to say. At the end of the interview about 30 people were brought in to a room and given one on ones. I was included and the other applicant in my group that was disregarded with me was in there, but neither of the two "leaders" were. They are super transparent about what the lifestyle is like. I really appreciated that brutal honesty, because I decided it wasn't the right time for me to pursue the lifestyle.
