      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jan 21, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2014

      Interview

I'm currently waiting for a date to go on my second screening invitation with Delta in Atlanta. I am extremely excited because I feel like the first process was def. helpful and I feel a little more confident this time around. The first time around I applied online and got a callback within a week. They asked me a series of behavioral questions like : 1. What would you do or how would you handle a customer being intoxicated on a flight? 2. What would you do if a child is asleep on the floor while the seat belt sign is on? 3. State an example of a time that you went out of your way to provide excellent Customer Service. How did the customer react and what was the outcome? 4. Why are you a good candidate for the Delta Flight Attendant position? There were two more questions but I can't really remember because I underwent this hiring process last year (This year, I just applied online, did two online screenings with similar questions... one in English and the other in Spanish and then I got a call inviting me to Atlanta... I'm just waiting for an email to pick my interview date.) But anyway, getting back to last year's process.... after the phone interview they invited me to do the online interview with Hireview and about a week later I got a call back informing me that I was headed to Atlanta. I didn't make the cut last year but I'm hopeful to make it this time around. From what I picked up at the face to face interview, they want people who look neat, who clean up well, who are punctual (I showed up 10 mins prior to the interview scheduled time, and felt stupid, most of the other candidates were already there. They also stated a lot that being a flight attendant is more like a lifestyle and not a just a job (so take that into consideration and be as natural as you can) Do your research on the company, their core values, what they represent, what"extracurricular" activities are FAs involved with... etc. It's a long process, but its a fun experience! When they take you upstairs to begin the process you're split up into three groups. You then get serenaded by the FAs (They sang Happy by Pharell, which was awesome! They then have you go around the room to greet and chit chat with them and with your fellow candidates.) Smile, but don't be fake, be as genuine as possible and just enjoy the process! You're then rotating in your respective groups, you're either learning the life of a FA, taking a picture and performing little tests (seat belt and height test) Q & A with one of the FAs or at the face to face interview with an HR rep and two flight attendants. In the face to face interview make sure to really use your previous CS experiences and make sure that you use the STAR METHOD to answer all questions... ask questions of your own and be YOURSELF. Had I done all these things, I'm confident I would've gotten a position offered... I'm hoping that this time around I can nail it! Best of luck to all of you fellow candidates!

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
