      Inventory Analyst Interview

      Jan 2, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines in Aug 2014

      Interview

I applied online, and received an email a few weeks later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was roughly an hour, and very entertaining. The interviewer was very funny and incredibly easy to talk to. The focus was your general STARS questions centering around teamwork, personality and problem solving. Passing that, I received more emails scheduling a time to fly to Atlanta at Delta's HQ. Picked up at the airport by an employee and the beginning of the day started with an assessment test, focusing on inventory, pricing, overbooking, route profitability, etc. Basic math principles and an understanding of how that all works is necessary. Three one on one interviews which were pretty straightforward, all of mine really ending up being a discussion on company culture. There is a lunch break after the 2nd one to one interview, where two current analysts (one a recent hire) take you out to lunch, their treat. Return for the last of the one to one interviews and then spend an hour or so shadowing an analyst and seeing what the job was about. Returned to the airport afterwards.

      Question 1

With an understanding of Inventory analysis and general airline business practices, there really aren't any hard questions out of left field.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in May 2017

      Interview

Very intense full day interview process. There were 3 back to back interviews after taking an hour long test. I felt like I was being tricked into saying something bad about the interview.

      Question 1

What did you think of the test, would you have designed it any differently? (asked by the test maker)

      Inventory Analyst Interview

      Aug 17, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines in Jan 2012

      Interview

Had a phone screen about 3 weeks after I applied for the position. Shortly afterwards, they flew me down to Headquarters for their interview day. I must've been 1 of 10 candidates to interview just that day. Took the assessment test first, then interviewed with 2 people back to back. Then I went to lunch with 2 of the analysts and another candidate, which was a little awkward. I felt like I was competing for attention with the other candidate and couldn't get all the info I wanted from the analysts. Afterwards, I interviewed with 2 more people back to back. Ended the day shadowing an analyst doing his daily work. Overall, the Interview day was pretty educational, but it was weird that I got asked pretty much the same questions with each person I interviewed with. I liked that I had the opportunity to shadow an analyst doing his daily work.

      Question 1

Weren't really any, interview questions were normal for the most part.
