I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DISH (American Fork, UT) in Jun 2019
Interview
The interview process involves an application online. However, try to get a referral from an existing employee. A phone screen from an HR rep that has no idea about the technologies. One of the HR people did not understand the difference between Java and Node. You will then be sent a take-home test that is non-technical. It is a basic math and reasoning test. Then onsite test for Watson Glaser & Wonderlic followed by a team 4 person then 2 manager interview. To score higher on the Watson Glaser skip the math questions and answer the logic questions first. The Wonderlic test is for testing whether you are conservative or liberal (economically). Most of the questions are true and false. The team portion was about organizing if/ else statements and communication, so like a 4 person coding session. The manager portion is more architectural and background in nature, but it did not seem well organized so it may vary by person.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DISH (Denver, CO) in Oct 2025
Interview
1st - 20 minute phone interview with recruiter
2nd - 30 minute interview with hiring manager
The interview with the hiring manager was highly disorganized and unprofessional. The manager read from a script and was not conversant in our conversation. Only looking to check some boxes rather than see me as a person. She also requested I live code and to pull up and IDE when I was at no point of the interview process informed that was going to apart of it. The laptop I had at the time was absolutely new and I was unable to login to my online IDE. She did not pay attention to my responses and often did not answer my questions about the company.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DISH (Plano, TX) in Dec 2023
Interview
All Dish Network employees introduced themselves and allow me to do the same.
Manager provided details concerning the position and Dish Network. Manger ask a few scenario related questions and then more technical questions was asked by the other Dish Network interviewers. Questions where answered by me as they were asked until the closing point where I was given the opportunity to ask questions. From my perspective,
The interview was educational and infighting.
Thank again for the opportunity!!
