So I was approached by a head hunter about a transportation manager position. I told them I would be interested and had a preliminary meeting with them. About a week later I had an interview person interview. About a week after the second meeting I was told that I had been selected for the position and was going to have a meeting to go over the final details. At the third meeting we did not go over details but was again interviewed for the position. I reached out to the head hunter as I was confused by what had occurred and was told that they decided to do a final interview and it was down to me and another candidate that they would be interviewing at the end of the week. This was a little annoying but no big deal as I figured it was just a miscommunication. After not hearing back from anyone for a month I finally am called by the recruiter again to say I was again selected for the position and that I would receive a call the following day at 1pm to go over my offer. At 1245 the next day I was called by the recruiter telling me that they were now rescinding the offer to hire me and were starting their search all over again. I was in a state of unbelief. I was offered the job not once, but twice just to have it taken away. Honestly if this is the way they treat people they are just interviewing for a position I can only imagine how they treat their actual employees. I think I may have dodged a bullet.
