      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cummins (Memphis, TN) in May 2012

      Interview

It started with an email from Cummins saying I have made it through the initial review. Then I was sent to a website to take a 15 minute personality test. The next day a person from HR called and asked me why I answered some questions the way I did. After that I was contacted the enxt day to set up for an interview. I came in from one face to face interview with 2 people. When I got hired I had to pass a drug screen. background check, and physical before I could start.

      Interview

I got the interview from my school's online job posting system. The internship interview consisted of a phone screening and a half-day on-site interview. The phone interview lasted 45 minutes. It was from the hiring manager, not from the HR. I did thorough research before the phone interview and asked a lot of challenging questions, which impressed the interviewers. Soon after the phone interview, I was extended the invitation visit the company. Three managers interviewed me on-site. One of the managers offered me a lot of insights in the company culture and the group I was supposed to be working with. Another junior manager asked me a lot of behavior questions, which were quite common in. The third manager's interview were more like a friendly conversation about my background. I felt very good after the interview and I think the culture fit played an important role in their hiring decision.
