I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Crown Prosecution Service (Birmingham, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
They asked 3 pre-seen interview questions, and 2 strength-based questions - interviewers were very kind and probed me for more information. I recieved information that I passed the interview 3 weeks later, and I recieved a formal offer 2 weeks after that.

Interview
The first stage is completing the situational judgement test, which is not difficult as long as you practise and are familiar with the organisation’s values and culture. If you pass this test, you then need to submit your personal details and employment history (this part is not assessed by the panel).
The second stage consists of a video interview, which you record at home. You receive the questions in advance and have two minutes per question, so it’s important to make the most of your answers as the time is very limited.
If you pass this stage, the final stage is an interview with the panel. Again, you receive the questions in advance, except for two strength-based questions.

Interview
Very casual and relaxed. Interviewers were very encouraging and keen to put you at ease. Most interview questions had been sent ahead of time, so the interview was fairly straightforward.
