I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CrowdStrike in Jun 2024
Interview
Worst interview experience. I'm at the manager level and have interviewed with some of the big names C1, Deloitte, you name it., never experienced such a lack of consideration for a person's time as w/Crowdstrike. After 3 interviews was asked to create a presentation. On top of this had 2 separate zoom calls with the recruiter/hiring manager, where I was repeatedly asked "are you still interested" and "how are you feeling", which I felt was inconsiderate of my time after multiple interviews. Was told there would be a 5th interview step, even though originally the process was said to be 4 interviews. Very long, drawn out, and unorganized process - wasn't planning to accept even if offered. 4 interviews, 2 zoom calls, and 1 recruiter screen for a recruiter role. INSANE.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CrowdStrike in Jan 2024
Interview
5 steps: Recruiter, Hiring Manager, HM's manager, that person's manager, and head of department. It felt way too excessive for this type of role and it moved incredibly slow (several weeks). I also had to request feedback & updates several times over the course of the several weeks, which I found frustrating. Interviewers rescheduled multiple times. Poor candidate experience, in my case.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly discussing oneself, behavioral questions (i.e. how do you manage conflicting priorities). I expected a higher caliber of interviewer skill, especially from the Head of Recruitment, who didn't ask me much about myself, but went through a standard list of questions. Not asking follow-up questions.
I applied for a role at Crowdstrike and a recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. One minute before our scheduled interview the recruiter emailed me to let me know they had to cancel because 'they had to put out a fire' and asked if we could reschedule. I followed up letting the recruiter know I totally understood, was happy to reschedule, and provided my availability as requested. The recruiter completely ghosted me after they canceled on me and asked to reschedule. Two weeks later I received a rejection email for the role I applied to with zero feedback as to why I was rejected. I get it, things come up all the time, and it is totally understandable! It is not acceptable or understandable to set expectations that you are going to speak with someone, cancel last minute, and then ghost them. I would much rather be told that I am not a fit and why I am not a fit instead of thinking I may be able to fill the role. Candidate experience is everything, at least have the decency to tell someone that you will not be moving forward with them and why instead of ghosting them. People deserve better than that!
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to read about your interview experience with us. We can assure you this is not what we expect from our recruiters and we are looking into this further. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
