I applied online. I interviewed at Crow Works (Columbus, OH)
Interview
Phone screen, in-person interview, work samples
The initial phone screen was basic, just checking high-level qualifications and explaining the nature of the role. The in-person interview was with a high-level decision maker and a key person on the team. They showed me around the manufacturing facility, which was a nice bonus because I didn't have to ask for it. Ultimately, I didn't get an offer because they were looking for someone with a slightly different skill set. However, they did follow up with feedback when I asked for it (which was much appreciated). Since then, I've taken that feedback to heart and completed additional training in the weak area I had, so I still consider it a good experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me if I would be willing to drive back and forth between facilities, which was at the time around 1.5-2 hours by car, one way.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Crow Works in Aug 2018
Interview
Interview process went on for months. I was asked to complete a sample of work and did. I received no feedback on that sample and then was invited in for in-person interviews that spanned three weeks. Final interview was with the COO/CEO who drilled me with odd questions asking for my opinions on random leadership ideas. He came off arrogant and then answered all the questions himself, telling me that my answers were “wrong.” After that, another two weeks went by. When I pushed to get a decision from them, I received a very unprofessional phone call from the hiring manager and ultimately withdrew my application. Lots of red flags at this place. Applicants beware.
