I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cross River Bank (New York, NY)
Interview
Dishonest recruiting process — Written offer rescinded with no explanation — cost me another competing offer.
I completed the full interview process and received a written offer letter from Cross River. During the offer review period, my recruiter Jordan repeatedly stalled with vague timelines and non-committal answers. Trusting the process and the written offer in hand, I declined another competing offer I had at the time.
Shortly after, Jordan rescinded the offer with no concrete reason given — no explanation of whether it was a budget freeze, headcount change, or anything else. Just a vague non-answer after weeks of delays.
Advice to management:
Do not issue written offers if headcount approval isn’t confirmed. Candidates make real, irreversible decisions based on written offers. Rescinding without explanation after a candidate has declined competing opportunities is not acceptable recruiting practice.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Cross River Bank (Jerusalem, Jerusalem) in Mar 2026
Interview
The first interview was on Zoom with the HR.
The second interview was with two team leads who asked me how to find the missing number when you have an array within the range of 1-100.
As written here before they are very leetcode orineted and they are missing good candidates. No one asked about challenges I faced during my job or asked me to elaborate about projects I did.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cross River Bank (Jerusalem, Jerusalem)
Interview
It was a standard cordial HR interview.
The interviewer was nice and explained clearly what they are looking for and the benfits of working there.
They did warn me that they take themselves very seriously and that their intake process is "very tough Leetcode style" .
Ultimately they turned me down for reasons not known to me.
