I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Acceptance (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2021
Interview
I was contacted by one of their talent recruiters, and set up a call screen two days later. Two days after that, we had another call to go more in depth on my resume and background. Three days later, I was notified that I would advance to the next phase, but needed to submit five references. The next day, the local manager contacted me via text to discuss the role. We scheduled a virtual interview two days later, and he provided the contact information to other members of his team to speak with. Eleven days went by with no contact from them, before I finally received a call saying I wouldn't advance any further. Overall, it was a good experience. Certainly unique where they asked for my references, and encouraged me to reach out to current employees to get their take and encouragement.

Short, easy. It was apparent that the person who interviewed me already had someone else in mind. Kind of cold feeling and it felt like they had to give the interview.

The interview process for the Market Area Manager role at Credit Acceptance, guided by Jordan Frank, was smooth and well-structured. Jordan walked me through each step, promptly answering questions and keeping communication clear throughout.
The entire team was transparent about the goals and expectations of the position, which greatly aided my preparation. Knowing what was expected helped me tailor my responses and prepare effectively for each stage.
Overall, a positive and well-organized experience. If you’re considering applying, you can expect clear guidance from the recruiter and a collaborative, goal-focused panel.
If you’d like, I can tailor the tone (more formal, more concise, or more detailed) or add specific examples from your experience.
