Had 2 technical interview rounds. First round was basic coding questions, concepts and questions about my previous work. Second round was more detailed technical questions about projects I had worked on and the technology used. Also had coding questions. Then discussed about opportunities at Crayon and the tech/tools I would probably be using if I worked there.

I was interviewed for spark developer role. But the interviewer was mainly focussed on Java. Asked me to write few Java programs which is no where related to big data solution. He was asking questions on rdd, mapreduce. He didn't even know about datasets or dataframes. He didn't even know performance tuning is the core part of spark programming. Even when I tried to explain he didn't show any interest. Please ask the person who is expert in the skill set of hiring technology to interview
