Interview
A very practical and sensible way of interviewing based on thoughtworks model. Starts with a cultural and technical 1-1 screen followed by a take home assignment. The candidate is then called and 2 interviewers discuss the technical solution of the take home assignment and some other technical questions. Interview
Process was fairly simple. I was asked to provide a solution to an exercise. Good thing was I could solve it offline. My solution was accepted by Covata's senior development team and was invited to the interview.
Interview was fairly routine. I was asked to explain the rational behind the design decisions I made for the exercise, some general technical questions.
Then I was invited to come in and meet he product manager and the architect there followed by formal job offer.

Nothing special, some questions related to security, Java, Spring, RDBMS, Restful services, concurrency etc.

Interview
Initial screening, followed by a 3 hour long interview. The interview was distributed in three sections; 1) Pair Programming. 2) Technical Interview (discussion) 3) Cultural/behavioral interview.
15 minutes for the discussion with the HR, followed by a programming assignment (Mars Rover) to understand the code/problem. Then a senior resource sat down to inspect how I make some changes in the code. After this pair-programming, two more guys joined for the technical interview.
