Interview
Average interview process with this company, 2-3 rounds with different HR team members and team leads. You will likely be asked how you would juggle working on multiple projects at once.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cotter Consulting (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2019
Interview
First there was a phone interview, in which someone from HR did a phone screening. Basically asked questions about my experience and what I'm interested in. Then, I went to one of their offices to do a face to face interview. One VP of the division I was applying for was there and another VP of another division. It was not a very "grilling" type interview and they were really friendly. However even though they knew my major, they said they couldn't hire me because my major wouldn't line up with the position requirements (my undergrad major was in the job description as desired major)

Question 1
What gives me a leg up against the other candidates who were applying for this position?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cotter Consulting (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2014
Interview
I was originally contacted through a third-party recruiter for a new opening. She explained that I would be working for Cotter as a consultant for a top engineering firm in Chicago. I had a phone interview with one of Cotter's HR people the next day, and was scheduled for an in-person interview the next week at their downtown Chicago office.
After the in-person interview (which turned out to be a one-on-one interview with a VP) I was asked to meet again with him and representatives of the client I would be working with the following week. A few days later I was given a conditional offer.
