I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale (North Riverside, IL) in May 2015
Interview
The interview process was a surprise. A connection of mine setup an interview for me with Costco because I was a recent grad and had just received my Bachelors in Business Admin. I was told the position was for a "Manager in training." When I arrived I was told this was for the Front-End. Bummer, I know. With my experience and background I figured I was too good for this company. I slowly stood up and told the First Manager interviewing me "Thank you very much but this is not what I am looking for at the moment" and proceeded to walk out of the ware house. A few seconds later the same manager chased me down and said "Our other Manager would like to speak with you." So I met Marco, our warehouse AGM, and he said "I know this isn't what you expected but with your background I'm sure you'll move up in this company in no time." I trusted his theory and belief in me and pushed carts/assisted the front end. Did not complain and found a way to love my job and help each member in which the way that Costco's guidelines states. My 90-Day period had passed and applied for a Marketing position and was immediately given a try out. Best decision I have made so far in my life. Interacting with current/new members is my passion. Building relationships is what I am about and keeping members wanting to come back is my goal. Thank you Costco for creating this opportunity.

Question 1
Name a time you dealt with a difficult customer and how did you it turn out? Name a time you were successful in a team based situation?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale in May 2026
Interview
Three rounds of interviews. If you're lucky, you'll do two rounds because two managers in the room are two interviews. Then the final interview is with the warehouse manager. Be on time; I cannot stress that enough, as Costco is a very time-sensitive type of position. You only have a three-minute grace period to clock in at your normal hours. Emphasize that you are very prompt and are ready to work through the probation period.

Pretty standard process, arrive at store location and interview with hiring manager. Manager was prompt and knowledgeable, thanked me for being on time. Asked good questions and gave me room to answer sufficiently.
