I interviewed at Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn, NY)
Interview
Interview by the program director then medical director, pretty standard straight forward process. A lot of applicants. My interview at Coney Island Hospital was well organized and welcoming. Faculty members were professional, approachable, and genuinely interested in applicants. Residents appeared supportive and satisfied with training. The program offered strong clinical exposure and a collegial learning environment.

I applied online. I interviewed at Coney Island Hospital (New York, NY) in Jun 2023
Interview
Interviewed with the Chief PA, was told over the phone I would met with the medical director the same day. She was okay, understood my unique circumstance. However, next day received the rudest most unprofessional call from her. I was still contractually bind to my current position and working per diem elsewhere and when I told her my availability to come back again to meet with the medical director was limited she irritatingly ask me if I want the job or not and then proceeded to hang up on me when I told her I was receiving a call a patient had arrived. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful- if she is short-tempered even before a second interview, I can’t imagine how she would be like to work with. Did not go forward with second interview because awful impression left by her.
