      Product Owner Interview

      Mar 18, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Computershare in Mar 2025

      Interview

I applied online for an advertised role and got a call from a recruiter late Jan 2025 who asked basic questions. Set up an interview online with the Hiring Manager and another manager which was 30 mins long who were based in the US. They explained the role and mentioned that they were looking to hire asap due to tight deadlines and the project was behind schedule. This was in Feb. During this interview they mentioned that if someone stands out during the 1st interviews they will hire that person if not they will go for a final interview. 2 days later I got call stating I have been selected for the final interview which was in person next week. This was 1st week of march 2025. So I went to the office, the interviewer who is a program manager was 10 mins late and wasn't that engaging almost as if she was there against her will. She didn't have the courtesy to even shake hands. There was another project manager who was better and even asked me to email any questions I might have later. 2 days later I get a call stating that all the interviewers were happy with me and next week they will sort out the back end work and get back to me. That was it. They didn't come back to me to this day and HR person who was friendly and engaging is now ghosting me. You have to wonder for such a large organisation why they are behind schedule on their project, it's because of indecisiveness and leading people astray with false expectations and I'm sure there is some internal politics as well. Not a good experience and definitely not professional. Glassdoor has a question that asks "Did you get an offer" funny thing is they don't even tell you if you are rejected but ghost you.
