It was thorough, and the managers were nice. They seemed careful in their selection process and holistic in their approach. I had three interviews in total before getting the job.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Common Energy in Jan 2020
Interview
Brief behavioral questions. Nothing too complicated. They are looking to see an energetic candidate who cares about the industry. No technical questions or previous experience is required. I found the interview process very easy and straightforward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Common Energy in May 2023
Interview
Most humiliated I've ever felt in an interview.
2 rounds. Interview with COO followed by interview with Manager of Operations & Analytics.
Second interview was given surprise Excel test. I did not have Excel on my computer and was asked to do it in Google Sheets. I was not familiar with Google Sheets and had not used Excel for a couple months. I was asked to analyze some of the company's data but did not understand some of the internal terminology the company used to describe customer energy data. I fumbled through the interview. The company ghosted me afterwards.
