I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CodeNotary in Jul 2023
Interview
Interview with some technical questions. After they asked a home assignment. My test had a problem in the PR I submitted but the solution itself was working fine and had a lot to show in terms of my code design skills, testing, patterns etc. I offer to hop on a call to explain about the test and possible fix the issue but unfortunately had no time to put on the assignment anymore. The code were not evaluated and I not even received a feedback in terms of the solution. All this interaction was with the RH person. Seemed that my assignment was not reviewed by someone who had technical experience to look what was relevant as a software engineer.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CodeNotary in Oct 2023
Interview
After a take home assignment I was interviewed as if I did not do that: classic 1.5 hour live coding + various questions about architecture and "how would I do this or that"
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
they tried and make me talk about design patterns but without actually asking directly
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CodeNotary
Interview
Off-camera interview. Arrogant, rude attitude. It makes bad impression of the company and people. Also interviewers tech knowledge was vague, doesn't seem to be asking right questions for the right position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Simple, theoretic list of questions about specific JS library, extremely low coverage about the position and daily responsibilities.
Interviewers tech knowledge is vague so it's hard to discuss anything related to questions/answers. They just want to hear the pre-written answer.
