I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CodeAI (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process is long and impersonal. I went through an initial interview, long work sample and then an interview loop that was four hours.
They try to be very objective.
There were not a lot of personal questions during the interview process and it was hard to extract what it was actually like to work for the organization.
The process seems to lean on experience and forgets to gauge interpersonal skills - which especially in management are critical.
Did meet some really great people.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
We’re sorry to hear the process felt long and impersonal. We strive to balance objectivity with a personal touch while assessing technical and interpersonal skills.
It’s also important for candidates to get a feel for the organization. Interviewing is a two-way street so extra time is meant to be reserved in every interview to allow for candidate questions. It sounds like we missed the mark and need to communicate this better in the future.
We appreciate the time and effort you invested in our process and take your comments seriously as part of our ongoing efforts to improve. Thank you again for your candid feedback and we wish you all the best.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at CodeAI (Seattle, WA) in Jul 2016
Interview
Phone screen with hiring manager. Then all day interview loop with 5 team members. I didn't get that far, but I was told that the final step in the hiring process is an interview with the CEO.
