I applied in-person. I interviewed at Coatings 2000 (Charlotte, NC) in Feb 2008
Interview
Apparently, an entirely arbitrary process. I have witnessed staff members hired, fired, rehired, and fired again. Often, seemingly random individuals are hired in as foremen with outlandish outcomes. Foremen have been terminated for theft, drug use, achohol, and misuse of company vehicles and fuel. Obviously these behaviors were sustained by better financial times but now seem starkly out of sync with today's requirements for success or even survival. The "Hiring and Interview Process" is, at best, still in developmental stages.

Question 1
The most difficult question is always what kind of nonsense are you going to be exposed to next and how to prepare for the unknown on a second to second basis. The most unexpected question I experienced was "can you come in tomorrow in painter's whites?".I was asked this as I was being hired over the phone without any previous contact outside the application I filled out two months previous for the company's receptionist.
